The Haffner orchestra has around fifty members, and these are either professionals or amateurs of a high standard. Our President, Raphael Wallfisch, makes this comment: "I am delighted to be President of the Haffner Orchestra and to welcome you to this website. The orchestra has established an excellent reputation in the Lancaster area, and its performances are enjoyed by many concert-goers."
Our Musical Director is Natalia Luis-Bassa. Originally from Venezuela, Natalia's passion for music is both stimulating and exciting, and audience and player reaction to her music-making is enthusiastic. A member of the audience recently commented: "I'm not sure how she did it, but she injected something wonderful into the music, which I feel the whole audience were drawn into". |
